We also saw Santa at the Denver Zoo Lights.  Zack was a little better with the candy cane bribe, but still didn't enjoy the experience a whole lot.

The boys had mixed feelings about visiting Santa.  Vincent thought he was pretty cool, but Zack didn't want anything to do with him.

Denver Museum of Contemporary Art

We spent a cold day playing indoors last month at the Denver Museum of Contemporary Art.  The art wasn't all that spectacular, but the kids liked the play area.

Vince and Zack honed their trick-or-treating technique at Boo at the Zooand rounded out the pre-Halloween festivities with a party at school and baking pumpkin, bat and ghost cookies at home.  Then the boys enjoyed the warm weather for Halloween night.  Vincent examined his face paint in the mirror for at least 10 minutes.

Pumpkin Festival

Vince, Zack, and Tasha joined Aleks and Meyer for a day at the Pumpkin Festival. The boys had a blast running around the pumpkin patch, getting lost in the corn maze, petting the goat, riding the bull, getting pulled by a tractor for a hay ride, and generally enjoying the festivities.

Happy 1st Birthday Zack!

We had a fun party in City Park on Saturday to celebrate Zack's first birthday.  There were balloons, pizza, bubbles, cupcakes, and friends.  What more could you want?  Oh yeah, the Tour de Fat festival was also going on in the park, which included a 5,000-person bike parade, lots of costumes, and beer from New Belgium Brewery.  Fun was had by all.

Zack's first steps

For several weeks, Zack has been very close to walking, but unwilling to try those steps without holding someone's hand.  Today we found the right motivation - a robot.  Zack took his first successful steps and we now have another walker.

You may also notice that the poor child has a few (or many) scratches on his face.  Zack got in his first school fight and didn't fare too well.  According to his teacher the other child lost some hair.

It's a week of firsts for Zackary.

Lucy was here!

Last weekend Sophie, Glenn, and Lucy came to visit us in Denver.  Vincent and Lucy got along great and Zack enjoyed watching the big kids.  Zack has always been a little scared of the bouncy house and Friday was no different.  However, on Saturday he crawled right over to it and had a blast rolling around in there with his big brother and cousin.
